Title:                        Roles and Responsibilities of the Designated Person/Safeguarding Lead (Multi Agency)

 

Audience:                  Those staff with a specific lead responsibility for safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and young people within their organisation or setting. It is aimed at those practitioners with Designated Named / Safeguarding Lead responsibilities for safeguarding children and young people

 

There is an expectation that you have completed BSCB Level 1,2 and 3 keeping Children Safe Courses

                                Course 3   2nd February    2018       9.30am – 12.30pm

Objectives:                On completion of this course you will:

 

  • Describe the role of the Designated / Safeguarding Lead
  • Enhance your understanding of the role and responsibilities as the Designated Person/ Safeguarding Lead
  • Identify ways the Designated Person/ Safeguarding Lead can support staff
  • Know how to access appropriate support and guidance

  • The Common Core of Skills and knowledge
  • Evidence towards your CPD
