Title:                           Keeping Children Safe Level 1 - Framework for Action

 

Description:               This course is for those in contact with children, young people and their parents/carers who are in a position to identify concerns about the safety and welfare of children

 

Requirements:          It is crucial that delegates turn up on time for this course and anyone who turns up after the start time will be turned away and will still have to pay the full price. This is due to ensuring all key aspects of the session are presented

Please note: You will need to refresh your knowledge every three years. This can be completed by accessing the e-learning package through the Safeguarding Children Board website at www.boltonsafeguardingchildren.org.uk

 

Audience:                  All practitioners (except schools) that come into contact with children, young people, parents or carers during the course of their work, including staff from the voluntary, independent and private sectors.

Objectives:                On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify some of the main signs and indicators of child abuse,
  • Recognise your responsibility to respond to these appropriately
  • Access Bolton’s Framework for Action procedures and implement these in an anti-discriminatory manner
  • Identify further safeguarding training needs
