Description:             This course will guide you through the basics of using the Internet to locate information whilst providing up-to-date information on using online tools and technologies including completing on-line forms.

Objectives:              This session will include:-

·         Using the Internet to locate information

·         Main uses, advantages and disadvantages

·         Navigate around the toolbar – main features and functions

·         Basic understanding of the use of the Internet and the World Wide Web

·         Basic awareness of online security, privacy and network netiquette

·         Stay safe online – setting strong passwords and protecting your information

·         Using a variety of search engines to search for information

·         Saving/bookmarking websites you use on a regular basis

·         Complete on-line forms

·         Using on-line translation software

·         Saving websites, information and images from the website
