Title:                           HSE First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Training (Refresher)


Description:               This 2 day re-qualification course covers the practical skills needed for those persons wanting recognition as the First Aider at work. This course includes a final assessment by external examiners and successful candidates receive a HSE approved certificate valid for 3 years dated from the expiry date of your current certificate


Requirements:          You must produce your First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work Re Qualification certificate, which is valid for the duration of the training. This can be renewed up to 90 days before your current certificate expires. First Aiders whose certificate has expired for more than 28 days must attend the 3 day First Aid at Work course


Audience:                  Practitioners who have previously completed the Health & Safety (HSE) First Aid at Work three day accredited course and hold a current First Aid at Work Certificate that is due for renewal

Objectives:                By the end of the session you will have:

·         Understand Health and Safety (first aid) regulations

·         Be able to safely manage an incident

·         Deal with accidents and illness

·         Use a first aid kit

·         Know how to keep records

·         Give treatment to an unconscious casualty

·         Deal with heart attacks, resuscitation, shock, choking, bleeding, burns and scalds, poisoning, fractures, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions, eye injuries, low blood sugar and fainting
